Date: 10th May 2007
In a recent report it was made clear that Kentucky Bureau of Investigation (KBI) had seized 3,279 phentermine pills worth $10,550 from a shipping hub in Lexington area and this report has been confirmed by an anouncement made by Greg Stumbo, the attorney general of Kentucky .
Reports also indicate that the Phentermine pills were packed in 47 different packages and were shipped from an unlicensed pharmacy in Miami , a place in Florida to different Kentucky destinations such as Knox, Russell, Madison , Anderson , Boyle, Bourbon, Letcher, Bath , Clay, Scott, Perry, Fayette, Woodford, Harlan, Laurel , Clark , Pulaski, Franklin, Casey and Montgomery counties.
Further revelations by the Attorney General Greg Stumbo clarify that the phentermine pill bottles confiscated by KBI only have the customer and prescription name but donot possess the name of the prescribing physician as well as the phone number, address or DEA number of the pharmacy.
Sources reveal that with a view to clamp down fake internet pharmacies supplying drugs to Kentucky, the KBI agents are hand in glove with the United States Attorney's Office, Kentucky National Guard, Kentucky Board of Pharmacy, Kentucky State Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Florida Office of the Attorney General and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
